It might help to use real shapes so that you can count the number
of edges and vertices (corners) they have.
How many edges does the first shape have? So how many straws would
be needed?
How many vertices does it have? So how many balls of modelling clay
would we need to make it?
Vincent and Tara are making triangles with the class construction set. They have a pile of strips of different lengths. How many different triangles can they make?
