NRICH Live January 2021

Age 5 to 18

On 19 and 20 January 2021, we hosted NRICH Live events for Primary and Secondary teachers respectively. During the events, we worked on some problems from the latest features, and considered the valuable mathematical thinking that the problems might prompt in classrooms.

The event for teachers of 5-11 year olds focused on problems from the To Balance or Not to Balance feature

Here is a PDF of the PowerPoint slides we used (there were only two!)

Here is a recording of this webinar:

At the end of the webinar, we reminded participants that there are links to many more resources on our Primary Curriculum page.

The event for teachers of 11-17 year olds focused on problems from the Exploring Graphs and Curve Sketching features.

The NRICH Project aims to enrich the mathematical experiences of all learners. To support this aim, members of the NRICH team work in a wide range of capacities, including providing professional development for teachers wishing to embed rich mathematical tasks into everyday classroom practice.

NRICH is part of the family of activities in the Millennium Mathematics Project.
